2) Jim - 11/03/2010
Nevermind I should finish reading this before I comment...

Does sound like Out Cold though ;)

3) nessa - 11/03/2010
Hmm.. any idea when the changes are going to happen, if they do? Couldn't find a project date anywhere...

4) Terry - 11/04/2010
Approval will be the first step but think its like a 30 year plan so take a while before its done but should be interesting once its done

5) Carl and Cindy - 11/06/2010
Congratulations to all involved. This is the best news for the Fraser Valley in a very long time. Keep up the great work and best of luck moving on. GO BEREZAN GROUP !!!!!!!!!

7) Georgia - 11/09/2010
What we who own at Hemlock have been waiting for- combined with the new ATV trails the sleepy little mountain is moving forward. Ys Hoo! Is there to be a press release?

8) Andy - 11/09/2010
Fantastic, all the best to Berezan Group. I will continue to support my local mountain. We all need to create a buzz about this. Great News !

9) lucas - 11/09/2010
That kind of sucks, hemlock is a place thats close enough to vancouver but far enough that it doesnt get crazy busy. Sad to see

10) Nick - 11/09/2010
it just wont be the same...

11) Jim - 11/09/2010
see, just like out cold :P

12) Mark - 11/11/2010
Our family is very excited. I always used to say how cool it would be to have a lift down to Harrison. Never dreamt that you guys were thinking this big. All the best!!!! How long before I can quit my job and work at Hemlock full time? :)

13) sharon - 11/12/2010
Sounds Fantastic. Any idea on the time line ??

14) Chris - 11/13/2010
WOW, what a proposal! I understand how some people like the small mountain feel but this could be incredible. The jobs that this will come out of this & future tax dollars. Not to mention an area that will provide year round fitness. Good luck guys!!

15) J - 11/13/2010
Not that it will negatively impact the summer time stuff, but by the time all phases are complete, I wonder how the winters will be up there, with climate change and all...

16) lucas L - 11/15/2010
i agree with the other lucas but its still nutty

17) Paul - 11/16/2010
Thats to bad.The reason I ski there is because you guys are a small friendly, family resort.Like Cypress use to be,now look at them, expensive, alot less friendly,to busy & they can't even keep sky chair open 50% of the time.Hopefully you won't let an American company buy you up like Cypress.

18) J - 11/17/2010
So many negative people... More lifts mean more runs, it's not like this will happen over night...

19) Steven S - 11/17/2010
This is great news. and if Skibigfoot.com goes up as well there will be more mountains more choices...good for everyone. Good job Berezan, Let's hope your able to get this before were all grandparents

20) Steven - 11/18/2010
Can't believe that people are negative about this. This really exciting. Just wondering when phase 1 starts though.

21) Kevin - 11/19/2010
Here's a comment. I don't believe this at all. I checked the forecast for hell, and guess what, no cold weather predicted. Hemlock can't even manage to update their crappy website in a timely manner. Start by upgrading the existing lifts to something that isn't 50 years old to give decent value for the obscene amount you're charging for lift tickets.

22) George - 11/20/2010
Why does it say it will start in thirty years on page 227

23) warren i - 11/20/2010
it's stating that the mountain will get a new lift, the first in thirty years, not start in thirty years.

24) D - 11/20/2010
This is the best news yet!!! Can't wait to get Hemlock built out. They can't start soon enough. It's about time Hemlock started to see some progress and to grow into the great resort that we all know it can and should be!!!

25) Bob - 11/22/2010
I was looking at the Berezan web page. States the project will start in 2011

26) sam - 11/24/2010
looks great on paper - but will beleave it when I see it - all thats changed in 30 years - is stuff a bit more rusty and prices are ski high - hint - before jacking prices improve something - a new sign is hardley an improvement

27) dick - 11/24/2010
Hemlock is awesome and the price is not bad at all. They also got a terrain park that is almost just as good as their best. And people who live in abotsford, chilliwack or Maple Ridge could find Hemlock better than going to the north shore mountains

Thank you all for your comments both positive and negative. Unfortunately we have had to delete some posts from individuals that did not provide valid email addresses and were using the site to provide commentary that was unrelated to the development plan. If at any time you feel that there are operational improvements that would improve your experience, please stop by the Guest Services counter and ask for me.

We value each and every guest. Our daily focus is to ensure that everyone who spends a day with us enjoys their experience and becomes a Hemlock Resort fan. Mr. Berezan has now invested in excess of $11 million in refurbishing this facility due to the state of decay it was in when he acquired it just 4 short years ago. The development plan is another demonstration of our commitment to improve the quality and value that our guests should expect.

To those individuals whose postings were removed, I would encourage you to come to the resort and meet with me personally to discuss your concerns and opinions. I anxiously look forward to meeting you face to face. I am on mountain every day that we are open. please don’t hesitate to ask for me.

Wondering if rather than having people post comments to your website regarding the Master Plan, if it might be better to have my contact information on there so that they can provide their comments to us directly?

You could mention that the Resort Development Branch is accepting comments from the public on the Draft Master Plan until January 14, 2011, and to please contact:
