I just wanted to give praise where it is due. My 7yr old wanted to learn to ski so we brought her up to Hemlock and put her in the all day program. Her instructor was Naomi. Naomi was very patient with her and had her skiing within about 15mins. She had a blast of course. When we arrived home, our 9 yr old saw the video and promptly said she wanted to learn as well. We booked them both in for the next weekend, my youngest in level 3 and the other in level 1. Once again Naomi was the level 1 instructor (as we had asked for her) and my eldest was up and skiing in no time. I am quite confident after a few more lessons my girls will be able to keep up and pass me on the mountain... I believe your instructors are doing an awesome job and should be commended for their passion for the sport and their teaching prowess. I especially want to thank both Naomi and Rupert for the time they spent with my girls and the skills they have been able to pass down. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.

I just wanted to let you know that yesterday my daughter & I skied Hemlock for the first time. We had an AMAZING experience! We had been told by a friend about Ladies Day and as luck would have it, my daughter had a Pro-D Day at school so we took advantage of the free time and we had a blast. All the staff we dealt with were wonderful. Everyone was friendly and courteous even when my daughter lost her ski getting on the yellow chair lift!! We enjoyed tubing and had dinner in the lounge area as well. It was just a great day and I will pass the info on to my friends. Keep up the great work!

I had to drop you a line to let you know what an outstanding experience we had at your mountain. We had always heard that Hemlock was a smaller family oriented resort but we weren't prepared for the reality of our experience. From your parking lot guy to the staff in the rental shop, the pub staff and people working at the lifts EVERYONE was so outgoing, friendly and helpful. My wife actually said she it felt like Disneyland. Keep up the good work and we will definitely be making the drive out to our new favorite mountain.

I wanted to pass along a compliment - we were at your resort on New Years Eve for our 3 kids first ski & snowboard lesson - all of the staff that we interacted with were fantastic! The ladies that checked us in/ticket to the rental crew and of course the instructors - Beth & Paula. In addition to the above, Brent was also great. We chatted while he was waiting for his next student and he mentioned the "Ski & Play" program to us.
We are looking forward to our next trip up!
Thank you,
Lisa

Just a quick note to say thankyou so much for an incredible first experience for my children. Their instructor was great and they were skiing wonderfully by the end of their lesson. Ready to conquer the big hills just like that!! Thankyou so much. All the staff were encouraging and friendly. Keep up the good work. We will definitely be back.

My family spent the day up at Hemlock yesterday and we tubed during the day and my kids had snowboarding lessons in the evening with Adam. I wanted to write to thank Adam for working with my boys Caden, 9 years and Noah, 7 years old. It was the first time either of them had ever snowboarded and they had a bit of a hard time with it and Adam was so patient and positive with them, he was great. The boys really enjoyed their time with Adam and although they were tired and had enough after the 2 hours, Adam's positive, supportive attitude has encouraged my kids to want to return and try snowboarding again.
Thanks Adam from Caden and Noah!!!

Congrats for another fabulous season at Hemlock. My family and I had an awesome time each time we ventured up to Hemlock and we especially enjoyed the ski for food campaign. I also loved the Ladies Day and really hope you carry on with that wonderful idea next year.

I just wanted to send a letter of THANKS. Thank you for the Ladies Day free skiing. I wasn't sure if I could even ski anymore but came up with some friends to give my old skis a dusting off. Hemlock was the mountain that I first learned to ski in elementary school and it held many fond memories. I hadn't been on skis since having children and really wanted to teach my 8yr old daughter. The free days made it affordable for us to do that a couple of times.
We really enjoyed some fantastic days and found the staff to be extremely friendly. The restaurant was a nice place to sit for a bottle of wine and much needed lunch We normally brown bag it but since we didnt have to pay to ski we thoroughly enjoyed the splurge!!
Thanks again,
Tia from Rosedale

I would just like to take a few minutes to share some thoughts with you. Often one only gets feedback if it is of a negative nature and that comes rushing in way too often at times.
1. I have found the staff at Hemlock far friendlier and helpful than any of the ski hills on the North Shore. Even my kids have commented on how “nice” the staff is at Hemlock. We always get a smile and a greeting from the staff operating the chair lifts, cafeteria, or parking lot.
2. A couple of week’s back I had a bad fall on the hill, and tore some of the ligaments in my shoulder. I found the Ski Patrol were helpful and pleasant. A couple of days later I received a get well card in the mail which I thought that was a nice gesture. I have made a point of telling as many people as I can about my good experience with the attendants in the ski patrol hut and the follow up that I received.
3. I had the opportunity this year of organizing a Church group to come up to Hemlock to ski and snowboard. I worked with Shelby and I was extremely impressed with the way she had everything organized. Everything was in order and the event was such a success that I have been asked to organize another one next year and I have been told that it will be an even bigger group.
4. When my kids are given the choice of where they would like to go snowboarding (Cypress, Grouse, Mt. Seymour, Mt. Baker, Hemlock, or Manning Park) it is always Hemlock that they choose because of the atmosphere, the mountain conditions and most of all they feel accepted by the staff as part of a bigger family and not as just another kid on the mountain.
All in all this has been a wonderful season, congratulations to you and your team. I look forward to another good winter season next year.
Much appreciated,
Peter C

Dear Mr. Bourdin,
My family and I had the pleasure of visiting Hemlock Valley Ski Resort for the first time this past week. Being that this was our first family ski experience with three young boys, we weren't quite sure what to expect.
Because we had such a fabulous time, we are sending you this e-mail to express our appreciation to your courteous and helpful staff. The staff at the front ticket counter, ski rental facility, cafeteria, rope tow line and beginner chairlift, all helped to make our time at Hemlock a very pleasant one. The ski instructors were awesome. They had my children skiing and swooshing down the mountain in no time at all. In particular, we would like to thank Eric V for his time and support.
We look forward to our next visit to Hemlock Valley Ski Resort.
Sincerely, Terry J

Dear Kevin
I would just like to thank you very much for the Ladies free Thursdays this season. They have been wonderful and I have been lucky enough to attend the majority of them. I have noticed that they have become more popular as the weeks went on and that it was not only attracting the ladies. It was extra good last week when all the lifts were open which meant no line ups.
A big thank you and I hope they have been worth while and look forward to it continuing for the next 3 weeks and next season too maybe. As we all know how ladies talk let's hope we are all spreading the word about how good hemlock is and how the road improves every year.

Hi Kevin,
Firstly, I would like to thank you for Thursday's Ladies Day Skiing. In todays times of harried and overworked women trying to work and raise kids, look after husbands and run a household, it is Reallllly nice that someone does something special just for them. Thank you for making us feel so special! It is very generous that you have set this up and I have been a few times when the weather was superb, with blue sky and sun and I must say that the atmosphere and the people working there have been wonderful!
I had planned to come up for the last 3 weeks, but I was sick and then my daughter came down with a serious tonsil and liver infection and I watched the last 2 Thursdays go by with the stunning ski weather and I couldn't go and I knew the end date was the first week in March. Imagine my surprise and joy when I found out it had been extended!
Thank you!!!
I also wanted to mention that I had stopped coming up in the past years as often because of the numerous and severity of the potholes. Again, I must say that I was really happy what you have done with the road, the driving was vastly improved and the driving was a breeze. I find the road better to travel now in icey weather than any blacktop the other mountains have. You feel that the tires have something to grip on to.
Lastly, I know you are planning to upgrade, but I hope Hemlock never loses the "small, intimate mountain" feel that it's always had. I've always loved Hemlock the best!
Thanks again!

Dear Hemlock Valley Management,
I have to apologize to you though because I neglected to mention ... the OUTSTANDING service we received at your resort that day. This was our 1st time at the resort since I was a kid. We were bringing our 5 year old son and 10 year old daughter snowboarding for the 1st time. We were greeted in the rental area by a lovely young woman who politely asked if she could help give us direction. She was then very helpful in assuring we had all the rental paperwork filled in correctly. My husband was then efficiently helped by the rental staff to fit the kids with the equipment and then they were on the hill. The tow rope was a new experience and the operator was very patient and helpful with the kids trying to get the hang of it. I was standing at the bottom of the hill taking pictures and was able to listen to the ski instructors interacting with other kids they were teaching. WOW!! I was very impressed with their enthusiasm and encouragment of the kids. I even watched one of the instructors carry/"piggyback" a little guy ( I'm guessing he was maybe 4) up the hill so that he could teach him to snowboard. I was standing there imagining that the next time we came I would definately be enrolling my son and daughter in some lessons.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to comment on the exceptional experience my daughter had at the ski school over the Christmas Holidays. After being around the mountain for the past 8 years, there is a noticeable improvement in the way the ski school is managed. My daughter took 3 tiny tot lessons and I was so impressed with not only her 3 instructor (Rebecca, Rupert & John), but the other staff who would pass by at the outside waiting area and stop to say hi and check on the status of the instructor. The service, and the fun and cheerful attitude of the instructors were fantastic. Keep up the great work!

Today my girlfriend, brother and I took snowboarding lessons; he took beginners one and my girlfriend and I took level two. It was awesome! These were the best lessons I have ever had.. great staff, very informative, extremely nice and helpful. I would recommend these lessons to anyone and they were way better then the lessons I have had at Mt. Washington and Sunpeaks. We all look forward to taking lessons again at hemlock thanks for a great day.
