The Alcan Nancy Greene Ski League is the "FUNdamental" stage in ski racing for children between 6-12 years of age. Each year the children participate within their club or at the provincial level in team and individual competitions. These events encourage new friendships in a fun and friendly environment while demonstrating the skills developed in the Alcan Nancy Greene Ski League.
The "Snow Stars" program is a seven step skills program for children at this age level - supplements the Alcan Nancy Greene Ski League and offers a fun version to learning the skills of skiing and eventually ski racing.
The philosophy of the program promotes FUN, SAFETY, SKILL DEVELOPMENT and FAIR PLAY for children. Skiing fundamentals are taught and progress is acknowledged with the SKILLS AWARDS system.

The children are assigned to groups by age and skiing ability.
